Barbers
When they ask AI for a barber nearby
People ask for a barber who takes walk-ins, who cuts kids, or who can do a beard and a fade before an event. A shop that looks like a salon in its listings will be skipped by the person who wanted a barber, and the reverse is also true.
Walk-in or appointment is the first fact
The questions are walk-ins today, a Saturday morning, a fade, a scissor cut, a beard trim, a lineup, and whether a child can sit. Some people want a specific barber. Others want the first open chair. They ask about price, how long a cut takes, and whether the shop is cash only. If you are appointment-only, say that before someone crosses town on a rumor.
Say barber in the first line
Use the word barbershop if that is what you are. List the cuts you are known for and the ones you do not do, including color if you do not offer it. Publish hours for every day you are dark. Name the barbers if clients ask for a person. Put the address, the parking note, and the phone where they match. A second chair location needs its own hours.
The shop is not the salon down the street
Assistants mix salons, spas, and barbers when the descriptions are soft. A short page that states walk-in rules, kids cuts, and beard work draws a cleaner recommendation. Reviews that mention a Saturday wait or a particular cut are useful. Photos of the shop should show the chairs you have, not a stock loft.
Hours are the offer
A barber who is off on Monday should not be recommended for Monday. Sigma keeps that record straight. Citations start at $99 a month. Be the answer is $249 a month. Leads and advertising stay separate at $5,000 a month each.
Walk-in truth and the cut you do
The first sentence should say barbershop. Then say whether a person can walk in today or needs a time. Fades, scissor cuts, beard trims, and kids cuts are the words people type. If you do not do color, say so. Publish how long a standard cut takes and whether you are cash, card, or both. Name the barbers if regulars ask for a person, and take a name down when that barber is gone. Saturday morning is a specific promise. If you open at 9 and the first hour is already full, the listing can still say Saturday without implying zero wait. A second location needs its own hours. Do not let the shop be described as a salon. The assistant will otherwise book the wrong chair for the wrong haircut.
Be the local business when they ask. Citation build-out starts at $99/mo. Be the answer is $249/mo. Lead generation and advertising each start at $5,000/mo.
